So it rained. The season of indulgences is finally here. It’s amazing to sit at the big window and stare at the rain lashing in all its glory into the beautiful Mandovi. It’s mesmerizing to watch the river go wild at the confluence and behave like the sea herself. It’s amazing to hear the different sounds of rains- when it is rattling on the metal sheets above the garage, when it is ramming into the big glass window pane, swishing into the small pools of water on the road, gushing into the river, clattering on the tiled roofs, whispering in the woods… It’s amazing how beautiful the rain can smell. Always so same, yet so different. Refreshing mud smell, crisp surroundings, seasonal flowers, inviting fried foods, the sinful coffee… It’s amazing how the rain tastes. Irresistible.
